R&D Lab Specialist

Responsibilities

• Assist R&D Lab Specialist I with daily laboratory tasks and testing activities.
• Perform routine testing and evaluation of beauty and home fragrance products to determine compliance with specifications and performance or packaging standards.
• Manage samples throughout the testing process, including receipt, testing initiation, evaluation at required timepoints, and final retention/storage.
• Fill and assemble samples for testing according to established procedures.
• Maintain and document testing status, observations, and results throughout the testing process.
• Ship samples to vendors and cross-functional partners.
• Organize and manage international bulk standards and coordinate shipment of standards.
• Communicate testing status and results with R&D, QA, and Package Engineering teams.
• Support additional laboratory tasks and projects as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a Scientific or Engineering field and/or relevant experience in QA, R&D, manufacturing, or laboratory environments.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document testing activities and results.
• Ability to follow instructions, standard operating procedures, and established testing protocols.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple samples and shifting priorities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel .
• SAP experience preferred.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with cross-functional groups.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to changing priorities and business needs.

• Location model: 100% onsite – Reynoldsburg, OH
• Schedule: Standard business hours
• Position Type: 3-month contract with possibility of extension
