Job TitleThe Quantitative Equity Research team at Columbia Threadneedle Investments is seeking a Quantitative Analyst.Job DescriptionThe team develops and maintains a comprehensive suite of stock selection models that generate insights for both systematic and fundamental investment strategies. The analyst will research stock selection signals, develop alpha models, and refine portfolio construction methodologies.

The role also involves enhancing the team's research and analytics platforms and sharing responsibility for implementing and maintaining quantitative models in production as well as developing new models. The analyst will collaborate with fundamental research analysts and portfolio managers across the organization to exchange ideas, communicate insights, and broaden their expertise across various investment strategies.Key ResponsibilitiesContribute to research projects through idea generation, data preparation, statistical analysis, and development of actionable recommendationsEvaluate innovative techniques to extract tradable signals from large datasetsResearch and develop advanced model construction methodologiesEnhance the team's research infrastructure, production systems, and analytics capabilitiesPresent research findings to key stakeholders and develop thought leadership contentMonitor and analyze factor and model performance, and providing regular insights within the firmPerform due diligence on model output, and address inquiries from investment teamsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in a Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or related fieldMinimum 3 years of experience in quantitative investment researchDeep understanding of statistical modeling, econometric analysis, and machine learning approaches, with demonstrated ability to apply these techniques to investment problemAdvanced analytical and quantitative problem-solving skillsStrong programming skills with proficiency in Python, R, or similar data analysis languagesExcellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts effectivelyDemonstrated intellectual curiosity and passion for financial marketsKeen attention to detail with track record of delivering accurate work within deadlinesCollaborative mindset with proven ability to work effectively in a team environmentPreferred QualificationsCFA charter holder or candidate preferredVisa SponsorshipApplicants must have a valid work authorization that does not now, or in the future, require visa sponsorship for employment in the United States (e.g., H-1B, F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, TN).In-Office CollaborationWe are a client-centric, relationship-based business. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
