Credit Quant Developer | New York | Hedge Fund
We're partnering with a high-performing, multi-strategy investment firm looking to hire a Credit Quant Developer to join a technology team supporting a successful credit investment business.
This is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where you'll build the tools and infrastructure that enable portfolio managers and traders to make investment decisions across global credit markets.
What you'll be working on
Building and enhancing research and analytics platforms
- Developing risk, P&L and attribution frameworks
- Creating dashboards and reporting tools for investment teams
- Automating operational workflows and improving trading infrastructure
- Delivering robust, production-quality software used by front office teams
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong Python development skills with production-grade code experience
- Experience working with credit products or fixed income markets
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices and data-driven development
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline (Master's in Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering or similar is advantageous)
Technical Skills
Experience with some or all of the following:
- Python
- SQL
- Python DashTime series analysis
- Matplotlib
- KDB
- Databricks
- Kafka
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Grafana
- Excel
Markets & Product Knowledge Experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable:
- Corporate and Government Bonds
- Investment Grade and High Yield Credit
- Credit Default Swaps (CDS)
- Credit Options / Credit Derivatives
- Fixed Income
- RiskP&L Attribution
- Foreign Exchange and FX Forwards
Nice to Have
- Development of front-office dashboards or GUI applications
- Knowledge of market data, reference data and financial models
- Experience with Bloomberg, ICE, LSEG, Moody's, SpiderRock or similar market data providers
- Security master and reference data experience
- Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools
