Quality TechnicianRiverside, MOOverviewWe are seeking a QA Technician to join a manufacturing team in Kansas City. This position is responsible for performing quality inspections and testing on products throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring products meet established drawings, specifications, standards, and customer requirements. The QA Technician will work closely with Production, Operations, Engineering, and other Quality team members to identify quality issues, maintain accurate inspection records, and support continuous improvement efforts.ResponsibilitiesPerform in-process and final product inspections, including dimensional and coating inspectionsVerify finished products meet drawings, work orders, specifications, and quality standardsPerform visual inspections of welded joints for proper weld size, bead formation, penetration, and potential defectsInspect incoming raw materials, components, and finished products for compliancePerform required product testing and document results with photographs and inspection recordsMaintain accurate inspection and testing documentationAssist with calibration of inspection instruments and gaugesReview Material Test Reports (MTRs) and Initial Sample Inspection Reports (ISIRs)Conduct product and process audits and document findingsAssist with training production employees on quality requirementsCommunicate quality concerns with Supervisors, Operations, Engineering, and Quality personnelPerform additional quality-related duties as assignedSkills and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalentManufacturing or industrial experienceBasic computer skills, including Microsoft OfficeStrong attention to detail and ability to identify quality issuesGood written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and stay organizedStrong problem-solving skillsAbility to read a tape measure and perform basic shop math, including fractions and decimalsPreferred:Experience in a steel fabrication or manufacturing environmentExperience with arc welding processesKnowledge of carbon, stainless, or alloy metalsExperience with liquid or powder coatingsAbility to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawingsExperience using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instrumentsFamiliarity with ASTM, AWWA, AWS, or ASME standardsExperience with dye penetrant, magnetic particle, dry film thickness, or other inspection/testing methodsBenefitsDon't miss this chance to enhance your experience in a production environment while enjoying competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.Weekly pay$5 prescription drugs$5 doctor's visit copaysFree teledoctor serviceFree counseling servicesLife insurance includedVision insurance includedDental insurance includedVacation and holiday payScholarship Opportunities401(k) retirement planFree legal servicesOur unbeatable employee discount program
