Quality TechnicianScope of Position: Uses the principles and theories of science, engineering, and mathematics to provide technical support in a quality control laboratory, department, or process control group. Conducts standardized laboratory tests and routine experiments requiring the use of well-established procedures, but little understanding of the principles. May prepare reports and recommend solutions to technical problems as required. Works on assignments that are complex in nature where considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations. May determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may provide guidance to other personnel.Day to Day Responsibilities: The position is responsible for completion of Quality Inspection tasks on time and with acceptable quality, data collection and maintenance of Quality Systems and support of COC functions with Quality Inspection related skills. Inspections during manufacturing and production Ability to monitor and measure inspections Perform incoming inspection of products and materials at Keller DC Perform inspection of work done at Keller DC or any other part of COC at Keller Supports other part of CM organization with Quality Inspection and Quality System work Performs inspection, screening and minor adjustments/repairs of products and components to support containment and remediation of COC products Collects Quality data and maintains Quality Systems including Inspection Plans and other parts of SAP Quality Module, ETQ, Excel files or similar data collection systems Supports warehousing processes as required to enable Quality related tasks Provides support to temporary staff by sharing inspection and system skills and verifying quality of their work Participates in root cause analysis and corrective actions for Quality and Process Non-Conformance issues.Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time: Mon – Fri 7am-3pm (OT required as needed), some flex time allowed Required Education / Experience: Bachelor's degree 1-3+ years of experience in quality inspection or a related field. Strong skills with inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges). Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, including geometric tolerances.
Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel). Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in cross-functional teams. Ability to handle and position larger components (such as antennas up to ~50 lbs) safely for inspection Required Skills: Demonstrated skills in Quality Inspection for electronics similar to COC products and using appropriate inspection equipment Demonstrated skills in the inspection for visual defects, assembly problems and similar mechanical issues Experience with Microsoft office software (word, excel) Strong attention to detail Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently Good oral and written communication skills through e-mails, reports, and meetings Fluent in both spoken and written EnglishSoft Skills: Strong personal and collaborative skills Self-Starter Working Conditions: Standing/walking on your feet for approximately 6-7 hours per day Must be able to lift 40 pounds and stand or sit for extended periods of time Less than 5% travel may be required to regional and/or international locations for training or project work. Working with chemical substances, oils, odors, non-disagreeable Will require use of PPE, such as ear protection, safety shoes, safety glasses, etc. This position does not support immigration sponsorship.
