Quality Technician

Gaffney, SC | Full-Time | 1st Shift: $19/Hour | 3rd Shift: $21/Hour

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician (preferably in the food industry) to help ensure products meet the highest standards for quality, safety, and compliance. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in maintaining product excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor production processes to ensure quality, safety, and compliance standards are met.
• Check and record critical production data, including product weights, labels, dough temperatures, and metal detection results.
• Perform laboratory testing, including bake tests, texture analysis, microbiological testing, and environmental swabs.
• Calibrate testing equipment and maintain accurate quality assurance records.
• Support a clean, organized, and safe laboratory and production environment.
• Assist with quality investigations and continuous improvement initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of experience in food manufacturing or production.
• Basic math, computer, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) preferred.
• Previous laboratory or quality assurance experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.

Work Environment

• Fast-paced food production facility.
• Exposure to varying temperatures, including hot and cold conditions.
• Manufacturing noise levels will vary throughout the facility.

Schedule & Compensation

• 1st Shift: $19.00/hour
• 3rd Shift: $21.00/hour
