This position is responsible for authoring, formatting, revising, and managing food safety documentation to ensure compliance with FDA, FSMA, GFSI, and customer requirements.Working collaboratively with Quality Assurance, Operations, Sanitation, Maintenance, and Regulatory teams, this role ensures that written programs accurately reflect plant practices and are consistently audit ready.You'll thrive in this position if you are:Driven by Results: you're conscientious and persistent about delivering timely, high-quality deliverables.

You learn to perform new tasks as required for business needs and are willing to work various shifts and extended hours if necessary.Here's more of what you'll get to do:Documentation & Technical Writing Draft, revise, and maintain: SOPs, SSOPs, and Work InstructionsHACCP / Preventive Controls documentationEnvironmental Monitoring ProgramsRecall, Traceability, Food Defense, and Food Fraud plansEnsure documents are: Clear, concise, and easy to followAligned with current plant operationsWritten in compliance with regulatory and certification standardsConvert technical and operational input into controlled, compliant documentationDocument Control & Records Management Maintain document control systems, including: version control, approvals, and distributionRemoval of obsolete documents from useRecord retention and archivingEnsure controlled documents are accessible to plant teams and auditorsSupport electronic document management or QMS platformsAudit & Compliance Support Support preparation for: FDA inspections, SQF / BRCGS / FSSC audits, customer and internal auditsCompile audit evidence, binders, and documentation packetsTrack corrective actions and support CAPA documentationAssist with follow-up documentation and audit closeout activitiesTraining & Program Support Assist with development of training materials linked to SOPs and programsEnsure documentation supports effective onboarding and refresher trainingHelp maintain training records and compliance documentationCross-Functional Coordination Work with Operations, Sanitation, Maintenance, and QA teams to: verify procedures reflect actual practices, capture process changes and update documentation accordinglySupport change management for new equipment, processes, or productsWhat we require:1+ years of experience in Quality Assurance in a manufacturing environment.Strong understanding of HACCP principles and how they are used to identify and control food safety risks.Experience assisting with HACCP documentation, records, or plan updates is a plus.Solid familiarity with SQF requirements and food safety programs, with exposure to maintaining procedures, supporting audits, or keeping documentation organized and up to date.Strong exposure to FSMA Preventive Controls and food safety plans, either through coursework, certification, or on the job experience.Ability to support PCQI activities under guidance is preferred.Proven experience writing SOPs, work instructions, specifications, and food safety plansCollege degree preferred especially science based (Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science, Chemical Engineering, etc.)What We PreferExperience in a Food Manufacturing environment (bakery experience a plus)What we offer:Vacation and sick timeMedical, Dental & Vision401K with company match25%-35% discount when dining as a guestDiscounted cheesecake purchase programThe Cheesecake Factory Bakery creates over 35,000 delicious cheesecakes per day across our two facilities in Calabasas, CA and Rocky Mount, NC plus other baked products for our restaurants, international licensees, and third-party bakery customers.The Cheesecake Factory Bakery is a subsidiary of The Cheesecake Factory Incorporated.
