Quality Assurance ManagerResponsible for inspecting and testing products and overseeing incoming and final inspection to ensuring that products conform to the set safety and quality standards.Job DutiesAccept and reject products during in-process and final inspectionEnsure sufficient manpower is available for planned work and shift coverageAssess inspection requirements and assign inspection projects and tasks to inspection personnelEnsure adequate training and safety with inspectors within department, to support production needsSupervise and manage the daily and weekly workflow in QualityPrepare Non-Conforming Material Report (NCMR) reporting a product/material that does not meet the predetermined specification identified during in-process and final inspectionPrepare / Conduct MRB meetings and feedbackWork closely with Manufacturing, other Quality Assurance departments, and other support groups (e.g., Logistics, Warehouse)Achieve Quality Assurance operational objectives by monitoring and assigning day-to-day activities, identifying, and addressing gaps and problemsMaintain effective work instructions and operating procedures for inspection, per ISO/IATF requirementsMaintain and store complete and accurate QC recordsMaintain and support Gage CalibrationsLead and direct the work of other employeesComplete all necessary documents fully and accuratelyAdhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area and all laboratory equipment, etc.)Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and proceduresPerform other duties as assignedExperience and EducationHigh school diploma or GED required - bachelor's degree preferred, or QualityExperience in quality assurance, preferably in a leadership position (lead, supervisor, etc.)Manufacturing experience preferredExperience in GD&T / Basic BlueprintAbility to wear PPEExperience in ISO/TS 16949 preferredExperience in problem-solving and root cause analysis.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices, 5S, KPIs, etc. is a plusCompetencies/ SkillsAbility to understand blueprints, documents and manualsSkill and knowledge of inspection equipment (micrometer, caliper, optical comparator, etc.)Basic math skillsWorking knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Problem-solving skillsEffective verbal and written communicationStrong leadership skills and teamworkEOE-Minority/Female/Disability/Veteran
