Quality Compliance SupervisorThe Quality Compliance Supervisor will drive and lead implementation and the sustainability of the compliance process with minimal oversight. Responsible for facility audits, compliance to SQF, and partnering with Commercialization to ensure customer and Makers Pride requirements are met.With Quality, Engineering, and Operations, define, implement and operate a comprehensive process to:Assure new product quality, specifications and regulations are metAssess new equipment/process designs to assure that product quality, sanitary design, food safety and compliance requirements are metAssure compliance to customer and agency requirementsJob Duties:Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:Ensure preparation of all audit material and informationPerform & maintain risk assessments for new materials coming into the factoryManage compliance related CAPA (Corrective Action Preventive Action) closureManage commercialization projects from a quality perspective to assure specifications are metAdvise commercialization and production teams on process specifications, process capabilities, and customer requirements to include recipe and sensoryOversee Document & Record Control programsSupport Quality Manager and commercialization teams in integrating customer and compliance requirements into internal specificationsMay serve as primary Quality liaison on test, proof of concept, and initial production runsMay serve as primary resource to track action items developed via test runs through closureCoordinate QA and Production training related to new product/process introductionsSupport Quality Assurance department as necessary, in other areasPerform other duties as assignedRequired Competencies & Knowledge:Knowledge of:Knowledge and experience with SAP preferredASQ and/or SQF certification a plusSkill in:Maintain harmonious relations with employees from all departments.Maintain harmonious relations with management from all levels.Ability to:Communicate effectively both verbally and in writingSuccessfully multi-task.Ensure collaborative relationships with industry, trade, other associations, & regulatory agenciesLead 'best in class' behaviors with focus on safety, quality, and policy focus.Must be accurate and detail-orientedAbility to work with minimal supervision and at times independentlyProficiency in :MS Office Suite, SAP a PlusWork Environment:Ability to work in a light to high noise environmentHandle daily employee issuesTravel up to 10% is possiblePhysical Requirements:Reaching with hands and arms throughout shiftAbility to use hands and fingersAbility to see, hear and talkEmployee frequently required to sitOccasionally required to walk, climb and/or balanceAbility to lift and carry up to 20 lbsWalk up to 400 yards to work and break areasMinimum Qualifications:Four year college degree preferred or equivalent work experience.SQF or ISO certification a plus.One (1) to three (3) years' experience in product compliance and/or commercialization in the food industry, product development or similar discipline, in a related environmentFamiliar with state and federal food processing regulationsProficient in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPointSponsorship for work authorization is not available for this position. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive based on company and individual performance.
