Serving two primary markets – passenger vehicle and commercial truck – Dana provides the world's original-equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupervision of Team Leaders and Quality TechniciansUnderstanding of Quality processes and ability to work with other groups to foster continuous improvements.Accomplishing plant wide-goals and objectives for efficiency, utilization, scrap reduction, quality, safety, on-time delivery and Lean initiatives.Excellent communication skills both written and verbal to effectively lead the workforce.Completing performance reviews in a timely manner.Addressing concerns and problem solving while creating a team environment.Maintaining employee records (attendance, overtime, job assignments, etc.)Maintaining and understanding production processes to include complying with quality systems.Administer accountability & corrective actions as required.Ability to assure the conformance to work instructions and other processes.Implement and administer 5S standards.Promote a safe work environment and be pro-active in assessing potential ergonomic issues.Responsible for administration and control of CQI 15 – Special Weld ProcessesParticipation on the safety and ergonomic teams.Quality and production of productThe Group Leader will be responsible for ensuring the overall quality of the product produced on lines within the facility. They will assure the product is built in accordance to approved guidelines.
Each Group Leader is expected to participate in the improvement or development of processes.
