Quality Safety Manager

Quality Manager – 110K to 130K annually, $20,000 sign on / retention bonus

Position Summary

The Clinical Quality Manager oversees clinical quality improvement initiatives, patient safety programs, and regulatory compliance. This role works closely with medical staff, nursing leadership, and administrative teams to analyze clinical outcomes, streamline care processes, and ensure adherence to healthcare standards and accreditation requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Quality Improvement & Patient Safety: Design, implement, and track clinical quality programs to improve patient outcomes and reduce clinical risk.
• Data Analysis & Performance Metrics: Monitor key clinical indicators (e.g., readmission rates, infection rates, patient satisfaction), present findings to leadership, and drive performance initiatives.
• Regulatory & Accreditation Compliance: Ensure readiness for surveys and audits by accrediting organizations (e.g., The Joint Commission, CMS, state health departments).
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Lead investigations for adverse events, near misses, and sentinel events, developing actionable corrective action plans.
• Process Optimization: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to standardize clinical workflows and promote evidence-based care practices.
• Staff Education: Deliver education and training to clinical staff regarding quality standards, safety protocols, and compliance procedures.

Job Knowledge and Skills

• Experience with Regulatory and Accrediting bodies.
• Quantitative and analytic skills relevant to the role.
• Current knowledge of clinical processes and operations in a health care system

Education and Experience

• NH Registered Nurse license preferred – will consider Physical or Respiratory Therapists
• Hospital Quality / Performance Improvement / Patient Safety experience required
• Five years of clinical experience preferred
• BS or BA strongly preferred
• CPHQ certification preferred, or eligible to obtain within 1 year
