Responsibilities:
- Program and operate Portable Coordinate Measurement Machines (PCMM) using PolyWorks and or other Metrology software
- Assist Engineering Team to collect data for design validation using CMM or PCMM
- Inspect parts and assemblies to determine their compliance with design specifications.
- Assist Manufacturing Team validate and certify production fixture
- Maintain records of inspection data and reports to facilitate statistical process analysis.
- Ability to troubleshoot and identify CMM or PCMM related issues as they arise
- Calibrate, inspect, and maintain CMM to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and identify CMM-related issues as they arise.
- Ensure traceability of measurements and maintain compliance with company quality management systems
- Experience working in a fast paced manufacturing environment- automotive or other highly regulated environments
- Mechanically inclined
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours
- Willing to Travel
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Quality Assurance, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- 6-8 years of experience in PCMM programming skills in PolyWorks, and hands on experience using with Hexagon or Faro metrology tools
- 5+ years of experience in DCC CMM programming skills in PCDMIS Software, and hands on experience using with Hexagon or Faro metrology tools (Dual Arm CMM is a Plus)
- Experience with Client Blue Light System is a plus
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing ( GD&T , ASME Y14.5 )
- Experience creating and approving first article inspections with working knowledge of the tools required for inspection
- Ability to identify/recognize inspection errors and nonconformances and initiate corrective action
