Monitors overall quality system process and recommend improvements, consults with the Management Team, participates in establishing and implementing major goals and objectives, and serves as a resource in all aspects of the quality system.
Ensures quality system is effective and arranges periodic internal quality audits as well as maintaining continual improvements are in place.How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:Formulates business strategies, plans and budgets for the department and monitoring its (subsequent) performance so as to ensure that the plant goals are achievedPromotes, maintains, and inspires a positive work environment of trust, respect, and support for all internal/external customers, and staff by adhering Company policies & standardsSupports Management Team in developing procedures and in implementing the quality systemEnsures that quality system is consistent with established company goals and in accordance with ISO 9001/FSC/SFI/GMPIn charge of the effective preparation, maintenance, and reporting of internal and external quality records and analysesDevelops and analyzes results of the quality records and makes recommendations to the Management Team for continual process improvementSchedules and assigns internal quality audits and maintains its records.Designs, recommends and implements quality process training programs to the Management TeamIdentifies the non-conformity product or process, investigates, analyzes customer complaints regarding the quality and assists in resolving the issueEnsures the timely completion of reports, records and other documentationEnsures that all employees are well informed of quality system procedures and any changesMaintains and/or foster effective communications with customers, suppliers, outside auditors etc. in a resourceful and professional mannerEnsures and monitors proactively supplier requirements by ISO standardsProvides information to customer requests in a timely manner in conjunction with the Customer Service and Sales TeamAdvises, in the first instance, the General Manager at the earliest opportunity of any concerns he/she may have regarding the Performance of the department and/or its processesEnsures that the entire team works towards common goals and objectivesDefines KPIs for the Quality Assurance Department (which are cascaded down to the individual team members) and ensure timely follow-up and delivery with monthly reports to General ManagerEnsures that his/her Team has the knowledge and skills, encourage their development and flexibility, co-ordinate their work and provide guidance and support whenever necessaryCarries out periodic reviews on what works and doesn't work within the function & process and define solutionsReview on a regular basis, the processes in the Quality function with other members of the Management Team to ensure that the function is delivering what is required and expectedOversees cross training takes place among the teamStrive for best-in-class Quality function within the Industry / Set the Industry Standard, adapting new ideas and concepts from other Quality functions in other industriesKeep up to date on new development and foster learning & development among the teamVisit the work area frequently to ensure compliance and discusses safety issues with team. Explains to team that safety excellence is expected and is a requirement of employment. Encourages the team to report incidents, near-misses and unsafe conditions.
