We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead quality systems and continuous improvement efforts within a manufacturing environment. This individual will oversee the Quality Management System (QMS), support regulatory and customer requirements, manage quality issues, and partner with engineering and operations to improve product quality and manufacturing performance. This candidate needs to be detail orientated and work well with others; they will not be overseeing a team but will be collaborating with other employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and continuously improve the company's Quality Management System (QMS)
- Maintain compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and applicable quality requirements
- Lead internal, customer, and certification audits.
- Manage non-conformances (NCRs), corrective actions, and root cause investigations
- Oversee supplier and customer quality issues.
- Support First Article Inspections (FAIs), Lean, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Partner with engineering and manufacturing to improve first-pass yield and reduce defects, rework, and customer returns
Qualifications
- 4+ years of progressive quality experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of NCRs, corrective action, root cause analysis, and quality audits
- Experience working cross-functionally with manufacturing, engineering, suppliers, and customers
- Associate or Bachelor's degree.
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in aerospace, defense, electronics, or another regulated manufacturing environment
- Experience with AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
- Knowledge of FAI, 8D, FMEA, Lean, or similar quality methodologies
