RENK America is driven by this sense of pride and purpose in our country and our community.Job Summary: The Quality Manager will be responsible for leading all Quality Engineering and Quality Assurance activity within the RENK America Marine & Industry plant. This role will oversee the implementation and enforcement of quality control systems and processes within our organization. This role will be responsible for ensuring that products meet both internal standards and external regulatory requirements, maintaining high levels of quality and consistency across all operations.Essential Functions:Lead the development and implementation of quality assurance processes to ensure mobility systems meet specified standardsCollaborate closely and proactively with Supplier Quality, Operations, Field Service, Engineering, and other RENK organizations to ensure products meet all customer requirements.Continuously evaluate and improve production and operational processes to enhance product quality and reduce defectsDevelop department level budgets and monitor expenditures to ensure targets are met.Ensure all operations comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and legal requirements.Lead and manage the Quality Assurance team, providing training, guidance, and support to achieve performance goals.Drive product quality metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and enhance product reliability.Participate in program/project execution through review of proposals and completion of gate reviews.Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain high quality standards.Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to establish quality requirements, monitor performance, and resolve any quality related issues.Analyze quality performance metrics, prepare reports, and communicate findings and improvement plans to senior management.Investigate customer complaints and feedback, implementing corrective actions as needed to ensure customer satisfaction and minimize quality-related issues.Maintain detailed records of quality audits, corrective actions, inspections, and test results, ensuring compliance with internal and external quality documentation requirements.Lead the problem resolution process (CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions))Implementation of quality control loops and quality gates in order to reduce scrap and rework as well as warrantyEstablish a structured rework process within a highly regulated environmentPosition Requirements - Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Quality Management, Engineering or related field with 6 years or more Quality Assurance / Quality Mangement role or equivalent RequiredMaster's Degree in Quality Management, Engineering or related field with 4 years or more Quality Assurance / Quality Mangement role or equivalent PreferredProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Strong leadership, organizational, and problem solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsMust be able to move freely without accommodation throughout the manufacturing facilityExperience meeting Quality Management System requirements - ISO 9001, AS9100, or other equivalent industry standard.Experience with lean manufacturing principles (Six Sigma)Visual AcuityGood Reading SkillsWalking, Standing, SittingValid Driver's License for occasional travelSkills:Advanced understanding of non-destructive testing methods as well as metrologyExperiences in application of problem solving methods (e.g. 5-Why, 8D, Ishikawa)Basic knowledge of the rules of marine classifications societies and other relevant standards (e.g.

API)Extensive knowledge of production processes (e.g. casting, machining, etc.) thoughout mechanical engineering industryLicenses & Certification:Auditor Certification acc.
