Lead QA AuditorThe Lead QA Auditor is responsible for all aspects of the internal quality systems audit program, including audit planning, execution, follow-up, and re-audit to ensure ISO compliance. Maintaining audit systems and information management. QA auditor reviews protocols, qualification, and validation procedures documented by the organization.

The QA Auditor is expected to follow the procedures and drive consistency of criterion and auditing best practices across the organization. If a manufactured product does not meet quality specifications, the QA Auditor investigates and reports the findings.Position Responsibilities May Include:Audit product and process and report per documented standards and engineered drawingsEnsure all technicians/auditors are at the assigned stations with proper tooling for the job and ready to start on timeSupport with the identification and development of required procedures and processes related to the QMS (Quality Management System)Inspect work areas and ensure they meet 5S standardsPerform independent audits of product and process to further strengthen Quality AssuranceAssist production personnel in 5 Whys and corrective actionsSupport UL, ETL and other third-party audits and inspectionsMake decisions on severity of product defects and process NCMRPerform QC Lab Testing and any other testing as requiredEnsure all required reports and documents are accurately and timely completedAssist in calibration efforts and equipment maintenanceAssist in training of new auditors or new processes or change of a processTeam up with cross-functional team to conduct trials, product and machine validationSupport continuous improvement projectsReview engineering documents and provide input as requestedFollow through on supplier related matters as per applicable local proceduresPerform safety audits, toolbox talks, and ensure auditors are following all safety rulesAssist with the Management Audits and prepare audit reportsPerform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needsNature & Scope:Oversees a group of employees and ensures job is done correctlyProvides daily objectivesGuides team at task level to ensure company goals are metIs recognized as an expert in own area within a departmentProvides mentoring and training for new employeesKnowledge & Skills:Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPointExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work with teams and build relationshipsAbility to focus and high level of attention to detail and accuracy and effective problem solving skillsAbility to understand how to use mechanical and electrical test equipment/digital test devicesFamiliar with use and understanding of basic measurement tools such as Calipers, Micrometer and use of power tools and hand toolsEffective organizational and time management skillsAbility to be independent and self-disciplined, allowing for timely audit report submission and follow upAbility to understand and prepare basic statistical informationAbility to input data into computer systems or databasesAbility to interpret and follow work policies and procedures including safe work practicesAbility to apply good judgement, strong work ethics and integrity on the jobExperience:2 years of experience as a QA auditor, inspector, technician, or equivalent preferredStrong understanding of the ISO 9001/14001 requiredEducation/Certification:High school diploma or GED equivalentCollege degree, vocational / technical training, and/or other certifications are a plus but not requiredPeople Management:NoPhysical Requirements / Work Environment:Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodationsSome lifting (up to 20 lbs.)Long hours on a computer keyboardProlonged periods of standing and/or walkingMust be able to walk 3 to 5 miles a dayStanding, walking, bending, stooping, etc. to move, view and transfer productReports To: Supervisor, QualityQualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States.
