Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector / CMM Programmer to take ownership of advanced inspection processes and support our AS9100 quality system.
This role is ideal for someone who can program and run CMM inspections independently , analyze data, and ensure compliance with complex engineering requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Program and operate Zeiss Contura G2 CMM using Calypso
- Perform Formal Inspections, First Article Inspections (FAIRs) and complex layouts as well as program CMMs for inspection
- Conduct receiving, in-process, and final inspections
- Interpret blueprints and GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
- Create and optimize CMM programs and inspection methods
- Analyze inspection data and identify trends or issues
- Document results in Excel, High QA inspection documents and ERP systems (ProShop)
- Support corrective actions and continuous improvement
- Assist with fixture and gauge design (as needed)
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of quality inspection experience
- Proven experience programming CMMs (Zeiss / Calypso strongly preferred )
- Strong GD&T and blueprint interpretation skills
- Experience with precision measurement tools
- Proficiency in Excel and data reporting
- Experience working in AS9100 or ISO 9001 environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Zeiss Contura G2
- SolidWorks or CAD modeling experience
- Background in aerospace, defense, or medical manufacturing
- Experience creating inspection plans or fixtures
