Aircraft Quality Inspector - NO A&P REQUIREDThe Quality Inspector will be responsible for quality assurance activities related to the repair and refurbishment of heavy-lift military helicopters (CH-53E) and commercial operations helicopters (S64). This includes inspections of both the aircraft and related overhauled parts.
The role involves training on receiving inspections, component overhaul shop inspections, and return to service procedures. The primary focus will be on structures conformities, with additional inspections on parts and assemblies such as gearboxes and rotor heads. This is a long-term position ideal for someone seeking a stable career with opportunities for skill development and advancement.ResponsibilitiesReceive task cards and review blueprints and documents for scheduled inspection activities.Select appropriate tooling from tool crib or personal toolbox.Perform inspections using micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, and other tools.Coordinate with Quality leadership and mechanics to determine necessary follow-up repairs.Inspect parts, components, assemblies, major assemblies, aircraft repairs, and processes in the assigned maintenance facility, including in-process and final inspections.Determine if products and services meet continued airworthiness requirements and certify them.Maintain compliance with FAA regulations and company policies.Perform audit functions within the organization as required.Execute Receiving Inspection duties as needed.Essential Skills1+ years of quality experience in an MRO or depot-level aviation repair environmentKnowledge of inspection tools such as calipers and micrometersUnderstanding of airworthiness and FAA regulationsAdditional Skills & QualificationsA&P license preferredStructures/Sheetmetal experience preferredExperience with CH-53 or other mid to heavy-lift helicopters preferredThis role offers stability with a company that has large forest service contracts and is acquiring more military contracts. The facility features a highly advanced electronic tool crib providing access to a wide range of tools.This is a Contract to Hire position based out of CENTRAL POINT, OR.The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $52.00/hr.
