Quality Inspector BAirbus Helicopters is looking for a Quality Inspector B to join our Quality Team in Columbus, MS.The Quality Inspector B assures compliance with Airbus Helicopters Inc. policies and procedures and FAA regulations. Assure high quality standards through approving incoming/shipping materials through established incoming processes while recording quality inspection results. An Inspector B will be required to work with inspection tools, aids and devices to determine tolerances and specification limits. This position will be responsible for performing detailed inspections of aircraft components, composite materials, blades, dynamic components, paint, and Backshop activities to ensure specifications are met and identify non-conformities.From building to servicing the next generation of aerospace, our team focuses on quality, productivity and efficiency. Wherever possible, we foster flexible working arrangements to stimulate innovative thinking.Documentation: 50%Inspection: 40%Organizational Support: 10%Education:High School Diploma or EquivalentAssociates Degree in Aviation or related industryExperience:Three (3) years as a Technician in aviation maintenance/manufacturing or equivalent related experienceTwo (2) years quality experience in aviation related fieldLicensure/Certifications:Meet requirements of 14CFR Part 65.101 and be able to obtain a repairman certificate within 3 months of employment orValid FAA Airframe & Powerplant LicenseFCC 2nd Class LicenseTravel Required:5% Domestic and InternationalCitizenship:US Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder or person covered under our existing ITAR license)Qualified Skills:Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:Ability to read and interpret technical and regulatory documentationFamiliar with inspection tools, aids, and devices used in determining tolerances and specification limitsHigh degree of professionalism, judgment and integrityHave the experience and interpersonal skills to work in multiple areasTechnical knowledge of Airbus Products/ProgramsKnowledge of AS9100 Quality StandardsPhysical Requirements:Onsite or remote: 100% Onsite unless on travel.Vision: able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings. Must have correctable near and far vision if applicable.Hearing: able to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms. DailySpeaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications. DailyEquipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools.Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.

DailyLifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. DailyPushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools. DailySitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer. Several times a week.Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving. DailyStanding: able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor. DailyTravel: able to travel independently and at short notice. 5% or less yearlyWalking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
