Quality Inspector (2nd Shift)The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing visual and mechanical inspections to ensure parts and materials meet quality standards. Pay Rate: $19.25 - 22.80/hour DOE.A Day In The LifePerforming visual and mechanical inspections using tools such as calipers, micrometers, pin gages, bore gages, height gages, angle protractors, and optical comparatorsConducting quality assessments on incoming materials, in-process parts, and outgoing productsVerifying parts and interpreting blueprints for dimensional and visual checksApplying GD&T principles and functional knowledge of metrologyInitiating and addressing discrepancies or non-conformancesInvestigating root causes of non-conformance and determining dispositionDeveloping and implementing procedures to improve process control efficiencyEnsuring documentation complies with ISO and DMC Power quality requirementsMaintaining accurate records and supporting audits and certificationsManaging database systems for quality documentationWhat Will Help You Thrive In This Role?High School Diploma or equivalent (required)1–3 years of experience in quality control or manufacturing inspectionKnowledge of ERP systems (preferred)Experience in operating a CMM (preferred)Proficiency in Microsoft Word and ExcelStrong understanding of GD&T and metrologyKnowledge of tooling and hydraulics (preferred)Familiarity with power/utility industry or substation projects (preferred)Strong organizational skills and attention to detailHubbell IncorporatedHubbell creates critical infrastructure solutions that power our customers, communities, people and the planet.
