You will report to the Director of Quality and will have an onsite work structure in Creedmoor, NC.To be considered for the Quality Inspection Lead opening, here's what you'll need to bring with you:Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related technical field preferredMinimum 5 years of quality experience in the aerospace industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead roleIn-depth knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, AS9102 and aerospace regulatory specificationsFamiliarity with quality tools: 8D, FMEA, SPC, MSA, APQPStrong leadership and team management capabilitiesExcellent problem-solving and decision-making skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsKnowledge of quality inspection equipment and toolsAbility to develop and implement quality inspection proceduresStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAs a Quality Inspection Lead you will:Supervise daily operations of the quality team including inspectors and technicians to meet monthly schedule and delivery requirementsDevelop, implement, and monitor inspection procedures, sampling plans, and quality control metricsParticipate in internal audits, customer audits, and third-party assessmentsSupport quality planning activities including FAI, PPAP, and control plansManage Final Inspection product realization through dimensional, surface, part marking and verification of specification requirements.Work with other departments to integrate quality inspection principles into all aspects of the organization's operationsConduct root cause analysis of quality defectsDevelop and implement corrective actions to prevent future defectsManage and lead departmental quality and productivity improvement projectsRepresent the quality inspection function to other departments and stakeholdersEnsure team remains current with industry trends and best practicesEnsure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, FAA Part 21/145, EASA, and other relevant aerospace regulations and customer requirementsSupport quality planning activities including FAI, PPAP, and control plansTrain and mentor staff on quality standards, procedures, and toolsParticipate in Material Review Boards (MRB) and disposition of nonconforming productAnalyze quality performance data and report KPIs to managementCollaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issuesEnsure document control practices align with company and regulatory requirementsOur Benefits:Comprehensive medical insuranceCompetitive PTO, holiday pay, and sick leaveCompany 401K plan with up to 4% matched contributionAnnual bonus program (varies by level and discretionary based on company and individual performance)Flexible working arrangementsPaid volunteering opportunitiesAccess to mental health champions across our sitesCommitment to developmentEmployee referral programCompensation Pay Range $85,000- $100,000/year, based on experienceEOE/AA Minority/Female/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity/Disability/Veteran
