Quality Engineer / Quality AssociateSurestaff is immediately hiring for an experienced Quality Engineer / Quality Associate for a growing aerospace and metal finishing manufacturing company in Garland, TX, with occasional support in Arlington, TX. A successful Quality Engineer / Quality Associate should have strong experience with quality systems, inspection processes, corrective actions, specification review, and aerospace manufacturing standards. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications, and the ability to support production quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer / Quality Associate:Support and maintain the company’s Quality Management System (QMS)Review customer purchase orders, engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements prior to productionInterpret aerospace, defense, ASTM, AMS, MIL-SPEC, and customer-specific requirementsLead root cause corrective action (RCCA) activities for nonconformances, customer complaints, and process issuesPerform and support first-piece, in-process, and final inspectionsSupport plating and finishing quality testing including salt spray, adhesion, coating thickness, and visual inspectionsMaintain quality documentation including inspection records, calibration records, nonconformance reports, and corrective actionsSupport AS9100 audit readiness and future NADCAP-related activitiesCollaborate with production, operations, and management teams to resolve quality issues efficientlyCommunicate professionally with customers and vendors regarding quality concerns and corrective actionsIdentify quality risks and help implement preventive solutions before issues impact production or customersEnsure all work complies with company procedures, customer requirements, and industry standardsFollow all safety procedures and company policies in a manufacturing environmentRequired Qualifications of the Quality Engineer / Quality Associate:3+ years of experience in manufacturing quality, aerospace, metal finishing, machining, fabrication, or related industrial environmentsExperience with quality systems, inspection processes, corrective actions, and audit preparationAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specificationsFamiliarity with MIL-SPEC, ASTM, AMS, or aerospace/defense quality requirementsExperience supporting RCCA activities and nonconformance investigationsStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work effectively with production teams, customers, suppliers, and managementPreferred Qualifications:Experience with AS9100 Quality Management SystemsFamiliarity with NADCAP requirementsExperience in plating, anodizing, passivation, chemical conversion coating, or metal finishingExperience with salt spray testing, adhesion testing, and coating thickness measurementExperience supporting customer or certification auditsLeadership or supervisory experience within a quality departmentAbout SurestaffAt Surestaff, we are dedicated to helping individuals unlock their career potential through meaningful job opportunities.
