Job Opportunity Quality Engineering Specialist
A premier innovator in the defense technology sector is seeking a Quality Engineering Specialist to join their team in Palm Bay Florida. This organization is a leader in creating mission critical solutions across multiple domains including space cyber and air defense.

The successful candidate will oversee quality assurance throughout the entire program lifecycle. This includes everything from the initial proposal and baselining phases through to testing manufacturing and full production. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining high quality standards and procedures to ensure all engineering and manufacturing outputs meet strict regulatory and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Establish quality protocols and methods for product evaluation and process inspection.
Perform detailed reviews of customer and engineering requirements to ensure they are properly integrated into production.
Manage quality related cost accounts and support program planning.
Oversee the manufacturing and qualification of initial production units.
Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective actions for any nonconformities.
Lead activities related to Material Review Boards and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis.
Review and sign off on technical documentation including drawings and test plans.
Act as a primary quality interface between internal departments suppliers and external customers.
Participate in internal and third party audits to maintain compliance.
Maintain eligibility for a United States government security clearance.
Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following educational and experience criteria
Bachelor degree with at least 4 years of relevant professional experience.
Master degree with at least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
A minimum of 8 years of related experience in lieu of a formal degree.
Ideal Professional Background
Previous experience in quality assurance within the aerospace defense or FAA regulated industries.
Strong ability to interpret complex technical contracts and engineering specifications.
Hands on experience with hardware development and manufacturing life cycles.
Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9001 standards.
Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning and Statistical Process Control.
Certification in Lean Six Sigma or from the American Society for Quality is highly desirable.
Experience with program cost account management.
