Quality Engineer – Manufacturing

Pay: $60,000–$70,000 annually

Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday

Employment Type: Full-Time


About the Opportunity

Aegis Worldwide is seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer for a well-established manufacturing company in the Jefferson City, TN area. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their engineering career while working directly with production teams to improve quality, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate quality concerns and implement corrective actions through root cause analysis.
  • Support manufacturing operations and resolve production-related quality issues.
  • Develop and maintain PPAP documentation, Control Plans, and PFMEAs.
  • Assist with internal and customer quality audits.
  • Utilize SPC and other quality tools to monitor and improve processes.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to maintain product standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing or quality engineering; relevant internships considered.
  • Familiarity with PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, and root cause analysis.
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 standards preferred.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Additional Position Requirements

  • Employer-sponsored work authorization is not available for this position, for now or in the future.
  • This position requires working on-site near Morristown, TN.
  • Candidates must be able to reliably commute to the facility .
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
