This role contributes to quality assurance and quality control activities throughout construction execution, supporting the monitoring and improvement of project quality performance.The position works closely with project teams, subcontractors, and quality leadership to verify execution of quality processes, support audits, and contribute to the resolution of quality issues.
The role also performs data analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.In addition, the Quality Engineer supports the deployment of quality tools, reporting systems, and training initiatives, helping to strengthen quality culture and drive continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.Functional ResponsibilitiesSupport implementation and continuous improvement of Project and Site Quality PlansEnsure alignment between contract requirements, project procedures, and subcontractor scopeCommunicate quality standards, procedures, and requirements to project teamsVerify implementation of quality procedures across construction activitiesReview quality documentation for accuracy, completeness, and complianceSupport development and follow-up of Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)Contribute to subcontractor quality monitoring and surveillance activitiesParticipate in internal and external audits (QMS, subcontractors, third parties)Support management and follow-up of audit findings, NCRs, and observation reportsVerify implementation and closure of corrective and preventive actionsCollect, analyze, and report quality data and KPIsIdentify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities through data analysisSupport preparation of quality reports and presentationsPerform statistical analysis and support root cause investigationsSupport continuous improvement initiatives and quality programsAssist in development and tracking of quality training plansSupport deployment and use of digital quality tools and reporting systemsProvide quality support and guidance to project and site teamsPerform site and subcontractor auditsCompliance / Operational ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with Project Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO-based standardsMaintain alignment with contract requirements and regulatory expectationsEnsure proper documentation, reporting, and tracking of quality dataSupport adherence to quality processes across project executionPromote quality culture and awareness across project teamsEnsure proper use of quality tools, systems, and databasesQualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Quality Engineering or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)8–10 years of experience in quality roles in LNG plant constructionStrong understanding of quality procedures, standards, and management systemsWorking knowledge of quality processes across multiple project phasesProficiency in quality tools and systemsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsPreferred QualificationsAssociate's degree in Engineering (Civil/Structural or related discipline)Experience working within ISO 9001 quality systemsKnowledge of FERC regulationsFamiliarity with ACI, ASTM, ASCE, AISC, AWS, AASHTO, and NFPA standardsKnowledge of civil construction practices including concreting, steel erection, and groutingUnderstanding of construction codes, regulations, and site practicesRole Specific Knowledge & SkillsStrong understanding of quality assurance and quality control methodologiesAbility to analyze data and identify trends and root causesStrong auditing and inspection support capabilitiesAbility to coordinate with multidisciplinary project teamsStrong communication and reporting skillsAbility to support continuous improvement initiativesWorking ConditionsSite-based role supporting construction activitiesCollaboration with project teams, subcontractors, and quality stakeholdersDynamic environment with active construction operationsAdditional InformationNo sponsorship or relocation assistance available.Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
