Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance & Control:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards and procedures to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for internal and external quality issues
- Support production teams in resolving quality concerns and driving defect reduction initiatives
- Conduct audits (internal, supplier, and process) to ensure adherence to quality systems and standards
- Review and approve inspection plans, control plans, and quality documentation
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other quality methodologies
- Analyze quality data and metrics (scrap, rework, yield, customer returns) to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Partner cross-functionally with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain to improve product and process performance
- Support new product introduction (NPI) efforts, including PPAP, FMEA, and validation activities
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure quality standards are met and maintained
- Lead supplier corrective actions and performance improvement initiatives
- Assist in supplier selection and qualification processes
- Act as a key point of contact for customer quality issues, ensuring timely resolution and communication
- Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards (ISO, customer-specific requirements, etc.)
- Maintain proper documentation and reporting to support audits and regulatory needs
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
- 5-8+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing environment
- Strong experience with root cause analysis, CAPA, and quality tools (FMEA, PPAP, SPC, etc.)
- Working knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systems
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies preferred
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- ASQ / QEC Certification STRONGLY PREFERRED
