Quality Engineer

Pay Range: $50/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, APQP, and PPAP requirements.
• Perform GD&T analysis and utilize PolyWorks for 3D measurement and part validation.
• Lead root cause analysis (8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa) to resolve internal and external quality issues.
• Provide technical support for metrology, SPC, and MSA (Gage R&R) studies.
• Implement Lean and Six Sigma tools to reduce scrap, rework, and process variation.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, tooling, and customers to manage change and resolve nonconformities.
• Mentor less experienced team members in quality practices and core tools.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Experience with CMM programming or 3D scanning.
• Knowledge of 6S, welding processes, or Design of Experiments (DOE).
• Proficiency in Minitab or advanced Excel for statistical analysis.
• 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related technical field).
• Proficiency in GD&T, AIAG Core Tools, and metrology software.
• Strong communication skills to convey technical data clearly to stakeholders and customers.
