Within this Team, the Quality Engineer ensures timely resolution for all topics belonging to their dedicated Engineering technical discipline. The Quality Engineer is also responsible to PEUS as the resident technical expert for their respective technical discipline as it pertains to all Porsche models in operation within the market. This responsibility necessitates staying abreast of the latest technology in Development and validation within Porsche AG.Roles & ResponsibilitiesMonitor market quality by analyzing various sensors to include repetitive failures by the Technical Support Team, Technical Support tickets, repurchases, and other sources of product quality topics and complaintsPerform root cause analysis utilizing tools and software such Vector CANape, CANoe and other data acquisition meansCollaborate with PAG Departments responsible for Quality and Engineering to facilitate and expedite countermeasure development and validationSupport Technical Support Hotline and Field Technical Managers with 3rd level support for pressing and frequent topicsDevelop and manage field information and field fixes as Advanced Technical Information bulletins to implement short and long term service solutions, keeping dealer technicians up to date on known topicsAssist with Development Engineering initiatives in North America through supporting activities such as test tours and other validation trials, which may include extended travel.Provide guidance and direction for technical personnel and Quality Engineering internsQualificationsQualificationsRequired qualifications include:Four-year Engineering or technical-based degree in automotive related sciences or technologiesTwo years of work experience in fields related to automotive technologiesAdditional graduate studies in Automotive Engineering can be used toward experience requirementsExperience with and knowledge of automotive systemsExperience with associated diagnostic tools to analyze problems in vehiclesExperience with data analysis and engineering evaluationsPreferred qualifications include:Graduate Degree in EngineeringFluent or proficient GermanPrior Automotive AfterSales and customer experience is a plusIdeal candidates are tenacious, persistent, well-organized, flexible to adapt to various forms of challenges, process oriented and work well within a groupSix-Sigma certifications are beneficialPercentage of required travel:Schedule/Shift:The salary range for this role is $72,000-$95,000.

Individual salaries within each range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skillset.
