## Quality EngineerApplylocations: Eastaboga, ALtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R-28619**JOB DESCRIPTION**## **Key Responsibilities**## **Quality Systems & Compliance**- Ensure compliance with BOS, ISO/TS 16949, IATF requirements, and customespecific standards. - Understand plant and customer KPIs and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet or exceed targets. - Participate in Layered Process Audits (LPA) as required## **Continuous Improvement**- Drive continuous improvement across all production quality deliverables - Support advancement of Operation Description Sheets (ODS) - Identify and apply appropriate statistical tools; mentor team members on their proper use.## **Advanced Quality Planning & Documentation**- Support PPAP preparation and submission - Obtain internal approvals prior to customer submission - Develop and maintain:* Control Plans* PFMEA (with Manufacturing Engineering support)* Inspection and containment plans- Complete all customer-specific Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) requirements.## **Customer Interface & Issue Resolution**- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers regarding quality concerns - Communicate effectively between customers and plant operations - Visit customer sites as needed - Initiate and manage Quality Alerts through closure - Analyze returned materials and ensure root cause identification and corrective action implementation.## **Problem Solving & Corrective Actions**- Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action processes - Prepare and submit 8D reports to customers in a timely manner - Conduct capability studies and ensure compliance with customer and internal requirements## **Supplier & Quality Documentation**- Ensure proper preparation and submission of required documentation, including:* Part Submission Warrant (PSW)* Design records (drawings, specifications, materials)* Process flow diagrams* PFMEA* Control plans* Dimensional results and sample submissions## **Systems & Tools**- Utilize customer-specific systems and reporting tools - Maintain accurate records and documentation for quality processes## Qualifications## Education## - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience## Experience## - Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering or related role - At least 2 years of automotive industry experience required - Seating experience is a strong plus## Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of:## * ## ISO/TS 16949 / IATF standards* ## PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans* ## 8D problem-solving methodology* ## Continuous improvement methodologies## - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills - Ability to work cross-functionally and manage customer relationships## Certifications (Preferred) - Lean Certification - Problem-Solving Certification - Kaizen Certification## Work Schedule - 1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 P #J-18808-Ljbffr
