Quality Document Control TechnicianCadrex is searching for a Quality Document Control Technician to focus on the administrative tasks related to ISO compliance of quality documents, including but not limited to prints, quality plans, FAIs & other documentation & quality records. Assist as needed in performing inspection of fabricated sheet metal parts, purchased components and mechanical assemblies to determine conformance to customer drawings and specifications.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with in-process, part, and production quality inspections, including scheduled and periodic measurement of partsEnsure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of Quality documentation in accordance with the Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO 9001 requirementsReview, interpret, and communicate drawing specifications, tolerances, Bills of Materials (BOMs), quality standards, and acceptance criteria to support productionCreate ballooned drawings to assist the Quality departmentDetermine inspection and testing requirements based on customer specifications, purchase order details, and BOMs; develop and maintain corresponding quality plansSupport compliance with customer-specific quality requirementsEnter, review, and analyze dimensional and inspection data (e.g., First Article Inspections, CPK reports, PPAP) as requiredIdentify and reject products that do not meet specifications, and place nonconforming material on hold until issues are resolvedDocument and track nonconforming parts and quality rejections in applicable systemsApprove products for manufacturing continuation and shipment once quality requirements are metEnter and maintain quality reject and inspection data; perform related administrative tasks as assignedAssist with system and product investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actionsSupport calibration coordination, including scheduling, tracking, and recall of measurement equipmentAssist in monitoring and evaluating quality system elements to support continuous improvement initiativesMentor quality technicians and shop personnel by sharing job-related and customer-specific quality requirementsCommunicate and collaborate with internal departments regarding quality issues and resolutionsSupport Quality Team members as workload and priorities allow, including training and development of quality inspectorsAssist with the planning and execution of internal and external auditsCreate documentation to support customer and production requirementsPerform other duties and functions as assigned by supervisor/managementComplete REACH, RoHS and conflict mineral documents per customer requestsComplete Country of Origin (COO) and/or USMCA/NAFTA documents per customer requestGeneral document control which may include, but not limited to:Scanning in, filing, and retrieving supplier certificationsArchiving inactive Quality files such as prints, quality plans, etc.Organizing and maintaining obsolete Quality records such as old revision FAIsPreferred QualificationsMust demonstrate mechanical aptitude and the understanding of processes used in production, preferably sheet metal, stamping and assembly environmentsMust have the ability to determine quality checks required at proper sequences of forming and assembly, read and understand blueprints, and use precision measuring toolsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimalsProficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPointExperience using a manufacturing ERP systemEducationHigh school diplomaLocationOnsiteScheduleM-FWork EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration.
