Candidate Requirements Knowledge Skills & AbilitiesPossess ability to learn Quality Management System, Document retention system and softwarePossess working knowledge of inspection tools and standard equipment applicable to the site operationsPrevious experience in a manufacturing assembly environment, with additional preference to pump manufacturing historyAbility to read and interpret documents such as department work instructions, blue prints, process code documents, computer software manuals, safety rules, employee handbook and procedure manualsDisplay ability to write routine reports and correspondenceRequires establishing relationships and developed communication skills with internal and/or external contacts and organizationsAbility to support production needs and identify improvements in production operations and effectively communicate both opportunities and solutionsAbility to work with others to accomplish common goalsDisplays flexibility in approach to work scope and daily activities to ensure the site and company meets its production and financial goalsAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volumeAbility to deal with problems through creative solutionsEducation & ExperienceMinimum of 1 year of related production or mechanical assembly experience and/or trainingKnowledge of First Article, NDE, In-Process and Final inspectionsInspects product to determine compliance with order specifications, company's quality control system for complianceReads drawings in order to ascertain product dimensions and determine the appropriate tools for measurementAbility to inspect machined parts and components to ensure compliance with engineering requirements and industry standardsAbility to use inspection equipment (Faro Arm, height gages, thickness measurements, hardness tests, etc.) to ensure compliance with engineering requirements and industry standardsDevelops and document new approaches to solve problems identified during quality analysis activitiesSelects inspection and test equipment needed to support product inspection activitiesCommunicates and documents significant issues or developments identified during quality analysis activitiesInterface with customer third-party source inspectors, including the preparation of Certification Packages for internal and external customersReview out-sourced processes for compliance to process codesCompare actual material test reports with engineering specifications and determine acceptabilityPrepare Documentation Packages in accordance with customer requirementsPerform liaison with supplier to assure receipt of acceptable material test reportsComplete internal audits on any department based on ISO9001 requirementsWork in cross-functional Material Review Board (MRB), assigning disposition to non-conforming productParticipate in site audits and act as the subject matter expert for MRB and ASL ProcessesOther duties as assigned by direct supervisor/manager/LeadershipNesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
