Quality Control SupervisorWeyerhaeuser is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor (Technical Team Lead) for its Oriented Strand Board (OSB) manufacturing facility in Elkin, North Carolina. We are looking for a safety-focused leader with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to continuous improvement. This is a full-time, salaried exempt position that reports to the Technical Manager. Key functions include leading and managing the Quality Control Department, maintaining ownership of the Quality Manual and all related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), supporting and participating in mill safety initiatives, coordinating with third-party certification agencies to ensure products meet required standards while supporting production goals and customer expectations, analyzing and interpreting quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities, managing inventory of designated process raw materials and quality-related supplies, collaborating with operations and maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve product quality issues, coordinating mill-scale trials for product improvements, new product development, and qualification testing, developing and maintaining technical knowledge of OSB manufacturing processes, leading a team of five Quality Control Technicians, ensuring safe work practices, clear expectations, and accountability.Proven leadership experience with commitment to safe work practices. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Experience applying statistical methods. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability and willingness to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation, including occasional nights, weekends, and holiday coverage. Ability and willingness to meet the physical requirements of the position, including climbing stairs and ladders, lifting up to 50 pounds, working in varying environmental and temperature conditions. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree (or higher) from an accredited university in Wood Science, Forestry, Biomaterials, Engineering, or a related field. Knowledge of OSB manufacturing processes.

Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment. 5 or more years of previous supervisory or leadership experience.

Experience with statistical software packages such as Minitab, SPSS, SAS, or R. Knowledge of quality control methodologies and wood technology measurement techniques.Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $75,600-$113,500 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 7% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.
