Quality Control Manager | Architectural & Structural Precast
I'm working with an established precast producer that's looking for a Quality Control Manager to own its QC department. This is a leadership role with real autonomy: you'll build and run the quality program across production, finishing, patching, and mix design, and you'll report directly to the Operations Manager.
What you'll do:
- Lead all QC activity for architectural and structural precast products, including inspection, sampling, and testing
- Develop and submit concrete mix designs, and manage the sample and mock-up process
- Run pre-pour and post-pour inspections, embed checks, and fresh/cured concrete and absorption testing
- Oversee daily stressing operations and patching quality
- Prepare the plant for its semi-annual PCI audits
- Hire, train, and develop the QC team, working with production and engineering to prevent issues before they happen
What I'm looking for:
- PCI Level III certification, or the ability to obtain it
- Hands-on experience with architectural precast mix design
- Proven QC leadership in a precast or prestressed plant
- A continuous improvement mindset and the confidence to hold standards across the floor
