North American Calendering is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead and own the quality management system at our Mansfield, Texas manufacturing facility. The role is responsible for product quality, process control, customer and supplier quality and regulatory/ standards compliance.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can drive a culture of continuos improvement, reduce defects and scrap, and ensure every product meets customer specifications and applicable industry standards.
Key responsibilities
- Own, maintain, and continuosly improve the Quality Management System.
- Establish and monitor in-process, incoming, and final inspection procedures to ensureproduct conforms to specifications.
- Manage corrective and preventative actions.
- Manage supplier quality interface, manage returns and drive corrective action.
- Develop and maintain quality documents.
- Prepare and host internal, customer and third party audits
Qualifications
- Five years in quality management or quality engineering in the rubber, plastics, or related materials experience a plus.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001, AS 9100 and/or IATF16949 preferred.
- Proven leadership skills with ability to hire, train, and manage a quality team.
