Laboratory Technician Pay Rate: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour DOE Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PMPosition SummaryThe Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing quality control testing on incoming raw materials, packaging materials, and active ingredients to ensure compliance with company specifications, GMP standards, and quality procedures. This role supports laboratory operations through accurate testing, documentation, inventory management, and collaboration with production, purchasing, and receiving teams.Job ResponsibilitiesConduct conformance testing on all incoming materials.Sample and test packaging materials and incoming raw materials according to specifications and company procedures.Perform and document physical and chemical analyses; coordinate sample submission to external laboratories when required.Maintain laboratory records and documentation.Retest expired chemical raw materials and maintain corresponding records.Utilize ERP systems and Microsoft Excel to enter and maintain product and testing data.Test and document active raw materials for potency determination according to established specifications.Perform internal monitoring, calibration, and documentation of laboratory instruments and equipment.Prepare and maintain master and retention standards.Manage laboratory inventory, supplies, and stock levels.Coordinate activities with Purchasing, Production, and Receiving departments.Assist with investigations involving laboratory deviations, non-conformances, out-of-specification results, and change control procedures.Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety policies, approved test methods, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment.Report non-conformances in a timely manner and assist in corrective actions.Perform additional duties, special projects, and cross-training activities within Quality Control as assigned.QualificationsRequiredAssociate degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field.Minimum of 3 years of laboratory experience.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, ERP systems, and database software.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.PreferredBachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.Experience working in a GMP-regulated manufacturing or quality control environment.Familiarity with laboratory testing methods, calibration procedures, and quality systems.Why Should You Choose Manpower?Free training to upgrade your skills, including a free college tuition programMedical, dental, vision, 401kWeekly pay with direct deposit24/7 Manpower customer care supportDedicated Career Partner to help you achieve your career goalsVoted #1 best places to work by Glassdoor 2021
