Schedule: S econd Shift – Start time 2:00 PM

Our client is a leading food manufacturing company as our second-shift Quality Assurance Supervisor. In this role, you’ll lead food safety and quality programs, supervise QA employees, and partner with operations to ensure products meet regulatory requirements, meet customer expectations, and company standards. Key Responsibilities

•Assist the Quality Manager in developing, implementing, and maintaining food safety and quality programs.
•Review quality records including lab documentation, CCP, PC, and other compliance documents.
•Write, review, and update QA procedures; recommend improvements to testing methods and equipment.
•Partner with operations to manage the Pathogen Environmental Monitoring (PEM) program, including swabbing, investigations, and corrective actions.
•Provide training and guidance to employees on food safety, quality, and compliance requirements.
•Support customer, regulatory, and third-party audits.
•Investigate quality issues and customer complaints; implement corrective actions.
•Maintain certifications such as SQF, Kosher, Halal, and Organic.
•Supervise QA team members, ensuring effective communication of process and product changes.
•Recruit, train, and develop team members to meet performance expectations.
•Use SPC and other data analysis tools to identify and address quality trends.
•Complete supervisory duties including timekeeping, evaluations, and coaching.
•Foster a positive, safety-focused, and collaborative work culture.

Qualifications

•Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biological Sciences, or related field (or equivalent experience).
•2+ years in quality assurance, manufacturing, or related field food/beverage industry preferred.
•Supervisory or leadership experience (supervisor experience strongly preferred).
•PCQI, HACCP, or SQF Practitioner certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
•Knowledge of GMP/cGMPs in both lab and plant settings.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QA/production systems.
•Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
•Ability to adapt, collaborate, and drive continuous improvement.
