QA Automation Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer with 8+ years of experience in test automation, quality assurance, and software testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing robust automation frameworks, executing automated test suites, and ensuring high-quality software delivery in Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Develop automation solutions using Selenium, Playwright, or similar tools.
• Perform API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent tools.
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test execution reports.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and define testing strategies.
• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous quality improvements.
• Perform database validation and backend testing using SQL.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of QA Automation experience.
• Experience with Java or Python programming.
• TestNG, JUnit, or BDD frameworks (Cucumber).
• API testing using REST Assured, Postman, or SoapUI.
• Strong SQL and database testing skills.
• Experience with Jenkins, Git, Maven, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong debugging and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

• Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Performance testing with JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Financial Services or Insurance domain experience.
• DevOps and containerization knowledge (Docker, Kubernetes).
