You will be embedded in our Agile development team, working closely with BAs and developers across every sprint from refinement through release.This is not a siloed testing role. You will participate in shaping requirements, help define what "done" actually means, and be a voice for quality at every stage of the sprint cycle.

You will also be one of the primary points of collaboration with our clients during UAT so the ability to communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders matters as much as your testing execution skills.Day-to-day testing:Create, maintain, and execute manual test cases aligned to business requirements and acceptance criteriaExecute, monitor, and maintain automated test scriptsWrite clear, detailed defect reports that developers can act on immediately; including steps to reproduce, severity, environment, screenshotsVerify bug fixes and regression test affected areasManage your own testing workload across multiple sprint items simultaneouslySprint participation:Attend and contribute meaningfully to all Agile ceremonies daily scrum, refinement, sprint planning, retrospectiveCollaborate with BAs during refinement to evaluate acceptance criteria for testability before stories are pointedWork closely with developers during active sprints to unblock issues and reduce reworkParticipate in go-live prep meetings and post-deployment smoke testingUAT & client collaboration:Support clients through the UAT testing process helping them understand what to test and coordinating defect resolutionWork with the BA team on defect triage during UAT, determining severity and path forward for each issueContribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and standards across the teamRequirements:The Ideal Candidate will possess:3–5 years of hands-on QA experience in a software development environmentSolid working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and how QA fits into the sprint cycleProficiency in SQL you can write queries to validate data, trace defects, and confirm expected system behaviorExperience testing web-based applications across multiple browsers and environmentsStrong defect documentation skills your bug reports are specific, reproducible, and immediately actionableClear written and verbal communication you can explain a technical issue to a developer and a UAT concern to a client contactAbility to manage multiple priorities independently without needing constant directionA strong plus:Experience with Azure DevOps work management, test plans, or bothInsurance software knowledge or P&C industry experienceExperience with test automation scripting, maintaining, or expanding existing automation frameworksISTQB Foundation certification (Agile modules especially valued)Familiarity with UAT coordination managing client testing cycles, not just executing test cases internallyOur offices are located at th Street N., Pinellas Park, FL (3 days/week in office, 2 days remote)Typical office hours are 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Monday–Friday, with occasional flexibility around sprint go-livesYou will join an embedded Agile product team alongside Business Analysts, developers, and a Scrum Master.Physical requirements:Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 50%- 75% of the time.Must be able to speak and communicate clearly to other team members.Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery such as a copy machine, phone/headset, and keyboard.West Point Insurance Services is an equal opportunity employer.
