QA Test Engineer for USB/High Speed PortsThe Accessories Quality team is looking for engineering support to perform functional validation (manual testing) of peripheral devices with iPhone/iPad.
Responsibilities include interoperability testing of branded and third-party accessories with in-development iOS software and hardware, executing test plans, identifying issues, and generating reports. Support debug of quality issues/defects by providing relevant logs, regression data, and detailed troubleshooting information. Catalog and maintain test device inventory. Run commands, categorize any issues running logs, go through logs to identify bugs.
Requirements include 2+ years of experience testing consumer electronics, 1+ year tenure at Apple (required), experience with iOS system (required), UWV accessory technologies (nice to have), experience testing USB and any other similar high speed ports, experience in functional and end user testing, excellent debugging skills, comfortable looking through logs and being able to identify bugs with a creative mindset to identify issues, clear, concise bug reporting skills, USB interoperability testing, familiar with looking into logs and coming up with analysis, log analysis by running test suites, operate backend using command lines, understanding of USBC protocols and familiarity with USB specs, experience filing detailed defect reports using bug tracking tools, highly organized, self-motivated, and passionate about achieving results, ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment, excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable switching between projects and tasks.
