QA Automation TestersThe Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF) relies on its mission-critical system CT-KIND, Connecticut’s Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS). Implemented in 2025, the platform supports over 2,000 social workers and case managers, helping the agency manage child welfare cases while meeting federal and state compliance requirements.DCF’s Information Systems Division supports technology solutions for approximately 3,300 employees and continuously works to enhance system performance, security, and operational efficiency.DCF is seeking two experienced QA Automation Testers to support testing activities for enterprise applications and large-scale distributed systems. The selected candidates will focus on ensuring systems meet functional requirements while maintaining critical service qualities such as:PerformanceScalabilityMaintainabilitySecurityInteroperabilityThis role requires hands-on experience in both automated and manual testing, along with collaboration with development, product, and operations teams to ensure robust quality assurance processes.Key responsibilities include:Develop and execute automated testing strategies for enterprise and distributed applications.Automate test cases based on system specifications and business requirements.Maintain test automation frameworks and documentation.Support end-to-end system testing and regression testing processes.Assist in migration and integration testing for legacy and modern systems.Collaborate with developers, product owners, and system teams to implement best QA practices.Review requirements, test scenarios, and scripts to ensure completeness and accuracy.Create and maintain test artifacts including:Unit testsAutomated functional testsRegression testsLoad and performance testsCode coverage reportsEnsure compliance with ADA/508 accessibility standards, cross-browser compatibility, and mobile testing requirements.Maintain up-to-date testing libraries and automation artifacts.Participate in Agile delivery cycles and ensure testing aligns with acceptance criteria.Required skills and experience include:5+ years experience with Azure DevOps Suite including Azure Boards, Azure Repos, Azure Pipelines, Azure Test Plans, and Azure Artifacts.5+ years experience with automated testing using UFT (Unified Functional Testing) and VBScript or similar programming languages.Strong experience with automated testing frameworks, manual testing, test methodologies and strategies, and Agile development methodologies.Experience developing automation for UI testing, backend testing, API testing, and hardware testing.Experience working on at least two large-scale Agile software development projects.Knowledge of continuous integration/DevOps environments, test-driven development, enterprise integration patterns, and object-oriented design principles.Technical knowledge includes experience with testing in the following areas:Web application testingDistributed systems testingPerformance and regression testingDatabase testingMobile testingSecurity testingAccessibility testingWeb services testing (REST / SOAP)Technologies:.NET FrameworkSharePointSalesforceSQL / Microsoft SQL ServerJSON, XML, JavaScript, jQuery, Web APIs, and WCF SOAPUI
