QA Automation Engineer

Software TesterResponsibilities:Develop and execute testing strategies utilizing various software deliverable methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)Work with development and other internal teams to help troubleshoot and resolve issues, identify risks, and ensure defects are resolvedEnsure adherence to defined testing quality standardsDevelop detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test cases based on functional, non-functional, and compliance requirementsLead test planning, usually at a team levelWhen part of a Scrum team, ensure stories are well refined and contains clear acceptance criteriaImplement the test framework for the teamLead test case reviews and works with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure test coverageIdentify automation opportunities and develops test automation for applicable test typesHelp condition and generate test data and ensure data compliance requirements are met on all levels of test environmentsIdentify and manage sensitive test dataDesign test data and ensures data compliance requirements are met on all levels of test environmentsExecute test cases, including manual and automated tests, and record test resultsReport issues and defects along with the appropriate background information for reviewTrace tests forwards/backwards through the development lifecycle and back to requirementsUse testing tools and follow processes to complete testing on a given test environment, and assist with fulfillment of necessary steps required to promote code base to higher level environmentsMaintain and catalog test suites across test types (Smoke, Integration, Regression, etc.)Requirements:8 years of hands-on experienceExperience designing, developing, maintaining, and analyzing automated test scriptsExperience executing automation scripts, preparing executions reports and defect logsExperience creating project deliverables including automation test plans, automation estimation, test reports and automation dashboardsOctane
