Python Developer
Apex Systems is seeking a Python Developer with hands-on coding experience with Python AWS big data environment for a position with one of our top financial clients.
Location: 100% remote until COVID subsides. Relocation to Richmond, VA; or Plano, TX.
Duration: Contract through end of year with potential to extend up to two years based upon performance.
Project Details: This team does a lot of work around many different types of data from various sources so they are looking for a data engineering with experience in big data to help on data engineering. Experience in big data with Hadoop & Spark is critical. They work on various different DBs so strong SQL and Python experience is required.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Write scripts to pull & merge data
- Work with data models
- Write queries & stored procedures
- Work with Spark and Scala
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience overall
- 3+ years of coding experience with Spark and Scala
- 3+ years of experience developing software solutions to solve complex business problems
- Hands-on AWS experience
- SQL
- Experience working with Big data
Preferred Qualifications:
- Financial industry experience
- Java
- Python
