Python DeveloperWe are seeking a Python developer responsible for building and maintaining Django and AWS Lambda based systems. Your primary responsibility will be to enhance the design and build out the business critical business processes. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is essential.Responsibilities:Adhere to an agile methodologyImplement automated unit and integration tests (TDD preferred)Translate verbal requirements into written use cases and testable storiesDesign, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable codeCode maintainability and clarity is desired over performanceIdentify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issuesOperationally support the system for correctness of the businessSkills:Production experience using Python and DjangoExperience with dotnet core or Java is helpfulExperience deploying on Unix in a production settingFamiliarity with Microsoft SQL Server, Postgres and/or OracleUnderstanding of message based, async processingExperience with a variety of web services (SOAP and REST)Familiar with cloud data storage solutions, SQL, S3, dynamoDBFamiliar with AWS, specifically SQS and LambdasFamiliar with AWS SDK and CLIUnderstanding of the Python ecosystem and best practicesStrong understanding of object-oriented programmingFamiliar with functional programming conceptsFamiliar with various design and architectural patternsKnowledge of concurrency patternsUnderstanding of fundamental design principles for building a scalable applicationExperience creating database schemas that represent and support business processesExperience implementing automated testing platforms and unit testsProficient understanding of code versioning tools, Git and Github preferred7 years as a professional software developerCandidates requiring visa sponsorship WILL NOT be considered at this time.
