Job Title: Purchasing Specialist

Salary: $90,000–$100,000 + 10% Bonus
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Specialist to manage strategic procurement, supplier selection, negotiations, and supplier performance for aerospace/defense and industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, delivery schedules, and terms.
- Issue purchase orders and manage procurement agreements.
- Monitor supplier quality, delivery, and performance.
- Resolve supplier issues, delivery delays, and quality discrepancies.
- Develop alternative suppliers and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Analyze procurement data and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and industry regulations.
- Travel to Scotland quarterly to meet with suppliers and represent the company professionally.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred.
- 6+ years of progressive purchasing or procurement experience.
- Strong strategic sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management skills.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, contracts, and supplier performance.
- Experience with purchasing systems, MRP, or EDI tools.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage complex procurement projects and work cross-functionally.
