Purchasing ManagerThe Purchasing Manager will report directly to the Director of Procurement. They will research and purchase raw materials to be used in the manufacturing of RCO products, including curing and kitchen products. They will assist and train procurement specialists and inventory specialists as needed.

This position requires a driven, forward thinking, and detail-oriented individual who is responsible for purchasing and maintaining appropriate inventory levels of quality products for our business as well as helping lead the team. This position requires a team player, a positive attitude, initiative & drive, and an aptitude for analyzing and decision making.Duties/Responsibilities:Oversees and maintains current inventory for all purchased itemsAnalyzes department for improvements and new processesResearches, analyzes, selects, and purchases raw materials, making insightful buying decisionsAids in forecasting current and future buying trendsLeads the purchasing team in strategic buying decisionsWork with Procurement Director on inventory goalsInitiate Supply Agreement discussions with Procurement Director and top suppliersBe involved with Product Development and quality, making recommendations as requiredDevelops and maintains relationships with suppliersAssesses financial risks of purchases and communicates changes with managementWorks with the scheduler to coordinate production work ordersCommunication to management on issues, changes and/or late deliveriesArranging transport of goods and tracking orders to ensure timely deliveriesCoordinating with inventory & receiving team as requiredBe involved in the assessment of quality issues for stock items and escalate discrepancies to suppliers and managementCoordinate sourcing on new items as requestedContinuous review of department for process improvementPerforms all other duties and projects as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareMRP experience a plusEfficient typing skills, with an emphasis on accuracy Ability to compile information and make decisionsAbility to work under pressureExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailPositive attitudeAbility to Adapt to a changing and growing environmentCritical thinking skillsLeadership abilityEducation and Experience:At least 5+ years of Purchasing Experience, manufacturing environment preferredBachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferredProven ability to lead a team with excellent communication skillsERP knowledge requiredLogistics experience a plusPhysical Requirements:Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computerMust be able to lift up to 25 pounds at timesRowe Casa Organics is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other legally protected status.
