We are recruiting an experienced Purchasing Manager for an established manufacturing organization in the Greater Chicago area.
This opportunity is ideal for a procurement professional with a strong background in metals purchasing, scrap metal sourcing, supplier negotiations, and raw material procurement .
The successful candidate will manage strategic sourcing activities, develop supplier relationships, monitor metals market trends, negotiate favorable purchasing agreements, and collaborate with manufacturing and supply chain teams to ensure consistent material availability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of metals purchasing and strategic sourcing experience.
- Knowledge of aluminum, non-ferrous metals, and scrap metal markets.
- Strong supplier negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Experience supporting manufacturing operations.
- Strong analytical and Microsoft Excel skills.
