Design Edge is looking for an organized, motivated Purchasing & Accounting Coordinator  to join our team in Bethpage, Long Island, NY .

This is a great entry-level opportunity for a recent college graduate  interested in business, accounting, finance, purchasing, or operations.

For nearly 40 years, Design Edge has helped companies and entrepreneurs develop and manufacture toys, games, gifts, and consumer products. In this position, you’ll get hands-on experience working with our team, clients, vendors, and factories and learn how products move from development through manufacturing and into the marketplace.

Responsibilities include:

• Obtaining and organizing vendor and factory quotes

• Creating and issuing purchase orders

• Creating client invoices

• Tracking accounts receivable and following up on payments

• Coordinating accounts payable and vendor payments

• Matching vendor invoices against quotes and POs

• Tracking project costs, billing, collections, and outstanding payments

• Working with our accountant/bookkeeper

• Helping track the profitability and cash flow of individual projects

You’ll essentially help manage the flow from quotes → POs → client invoices → collections → vendor payments .

We’re looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, good with numbers, comfortable communicating with people, and eager to learn.

A degree in business, accounting, finance, operations, or a related field  is helpful, but we’re more interested in finding someone smart, responsible, motivated who fits in with our team.

Entry-Level Position

Salary: $42,000–$50,000, depending on experience

This is an opportunity to learn, take on increasing responsibility, and grow with a company that works across the toy and consumer product industries.

This is not a remote position. We're looking for someone to work in-house.
