Duties
You will procure supplies and equipment through a variety of informal open market procedures, mandatory sources of supply and Federal Supply schedules.
You will receive and review all purchase requests for expendable and nonexpendable material to determine whether to meet the requirement by either ordering against an existing contract or through open market/small purchase procedures.
You will review purchase requests for required justification, completeness, administrative information, adherence to federal specifications, required information, etc.
You will take or recommend action including disapproval of requests for non-authorized items based on standard operating procedures and interpretation of regulatory material.
You will be required to maintain a file of purchase transactions showing status of various purchases, invoices, and customer receipt verification.
