Purchasing Agent

We're seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to support our electrical construction projects from our Lewiston, ME office.

This role is critical to ensuring materials, equipment, and services are procured accurately, competitively, and on schedule.What You'll Do:Partner with Project Managers to plan and execute purchasing strategies aligned with project estimates and timelinesPrepare, review, and issue purchase orders, subcontracts, and change ordersNegotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to protect company interestsEvaluate vendor and subcontractor proposals and make recommendationsTrack and ensure timely receipt of contracts, insurance certificates, and required documentationCoordinate with internal teams (Fleet, Logistics, Project Teams) on equipment and material needsMaintain accurate data in project and cost systemsSupport cost control and estimating initiatives through accurate reporting and insightsWhat You Bring:Strong organization, prioritization, and communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentProactive, collaborative mindset with attention to detailProficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Vista/Viewpoint preferredRequired Experience: To be considered for this role, candidates must have prior experience working for either:An electrical contractor, orAn electrical distributor,with demonstrated knowledge of electrical materials, equipment, and procurement processes.
