This position manages supplier and vendor relationships to ensure efficient operations. This position requires the applicant must have a minimum of two years experience working in the Plumbing and Heating industry.Essential FunctionsCoordinate operations to ensure maximum productivity and cost efficiencyCommunicate with project managers and on-site personnel to facilitate on-time delivery of products and services required at multiple projectsCollaborate with Estimating and Project Management to secure job-specific supplier quotesIssue purchase orders through accounting software and other data entry as neededEnsure accuracy for all purchasing activity through regular auditSolicit and research material and products from all available sources to secure best pricing, lead times and complete ordersFollow market pricing on commodities, with awareness of pricing fluctuations to purchase at best cost levelsAssist Estimating with fixture and equipment take-offsProvide field technical support as neededPosition RequirementsActs as a professional and ethical company representativeEffective negotiation, sourcing and purchasing skillsStrong teamwork, advanced communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent time management and problem-solving skills, and the ability to multi-task with conflicting deadlinesAbility to work independentlyProficient in Microsoft Office productsEducation & ExperienceMinimum 2 years Plumbing and Heating industry experience with vendor and wholesaler relationships and buying practicesExtensive Mechanical and Plumbing systems and product knowledgeAbility to review construction plans and documentation
